Statement from Sustainable Westchester’s Board of Directors

Sustainable Westchester announces that Executive Director Noam Bramson has chosen to step down from his role after more than two years of leadership. The Board offers sincere thanks to Noam for his dedicated service to the organization and for guiding Sustainable Westchester through an important period of growth and transition.

Noam brought to his position nearly three decades of municipal leadership experience and a deep commitment to regional sustainability. A founding board member of the organization, he strengthened partnerships with local governments, built relationships with state and national foundations, develop new programming, and advanced clean energy and climate initiatives across the region.

The Board has appointed Tom Watson as Interim Executive Director to lead the organization during this transition period. Watson is President of CauseWired, a consulting firm serving nonprofits and the social sector in communications, development, and strategic planning. He brings extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, and public engagement, and has served on Sustainable Westchester’s Board of Directors.

The Board will launch a formal search for a permanent Executive Director in the coming months. During this transition, Sustainable Westchester’s work continues uninterrupted. The organization’s experienced staff and leadership team remain fully engaged in advancing clean energy programs, supporting municipal partners, and implementing new grant-funded workforce initiatives across the region.
