Gregory Elders is a recognized expert in environmental, social, and corporate governance investing with over twenty years of experience as an investment research analyst and sustainability strategist. He currently serves as the Head of North America at Canbury Insights, a technology-enabled sustainability consultancy. In this role, he works with global investors and companies to enhance sustainable investment practices and strategy.
At Canbury, Mr. Elders utilizes AI-driven insights to help investors and companies navigate the tangible consequences of climate change. His work includes mapping physical assets to climate hazards, analyzing the robustness of corporate decarbonization pathways, and assessing water scarcity risks—providing the data-driven clarity needed to identify long-term value and operational resilience in a changing environment.
Prior to joining Canbury, Mr. Elders was Managing Director of the ESG practice at Joele Frank, a top investor relations firm, where he advised corporate Boards and executives on climate change, diversity and stakeholder engagement. His professional background includes senior investment research roles at J.P. Morgan, Bloomberg, and Merrill Lynch, providing him with a deep foundation in financial analysis and capital markets.
Having lived and worked in London, Amsterdam, and New York, Mr. Elders brings an international perspective to his work. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and a commentator in the media on the intersection of finance and sustainability.
Deeply committed to community engagement and local resilience, Mr. Elders serves on the Westchester County Airport Advisory Board, Chair of the New Castle Airport Advisory Board, and Chair of the Communications Committee for the Board of the New Castle Historical Society. He has been an Adjunct Professor at Vaughn College of Aeronautics, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in environmental policy.
Mr. Elders holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Policy from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Cornell University.
