10 Years of Impact: Welcome to Sustainable Westchester’s Anniversary Celebration!

For the past decade, we have delivered climate solutions to the governments, businesses, organizations, and people of Westchester County – serving at the forefront of regional and statewide efforts to achieve a clean energy transition, conserve natural resources, promote environmental justice, and help member communities become more prosperous, healthy, resilient, and equitable.

OUR IMPACT

Thanks to the dedicated support of partners, members, volunteers, and donors, together we have:

Mitigated more than 1.3 million metric tons of CO2, equal to taking 323,002 gas-guzzling cars off the road

Secured more than $10 million in state and federal grants for building decarbonization

Educated more than 4,000 homeowners and renters about home energy efficiency and clean heating and cooling

Offered the first residential demand-response program in New York, enabling over 3,500 individuals and families to get paid to reduce pollution

Hosted the inaugural Westchester County Clean Energy Job and Resource Fair, which had hundreds of attendees and participants

Enrolled dozens of Community Solar projects to deliver guaranteed savings to thousands of local residents and small businesses

Piloted the state’s first community solar to EV fast charging stations

Organized and participated in hundreds of community meetings, webinars, briefings, and presentations to spread the word about environmental action

Spearheaded 15 solarize campaigns resulting in 601 solar installations in 20+ municipalities, creating 5.7 MW of solar capacity that offsets the equivalent of 6.1 million vehicle miles driven
