Two Energy Conservation Sessions with New York Power Authority (NYPA)

Workshops in New Rochelle and Mount Vernon!

In November 2025, Sustainable Westchester partnered with the New York Power Authority (NYPA) to host two hands-on Clean Energy & Energy Kit Workshops in Mount Vernon and New Rochelle. These community events were designed to help residents learn practical ways to reduce energy use, lower utility bills, and access local clean-energy programs.

During the workshops, participants received clear, actionable guidance on Sustainable Westchester’s solar programs, including how homeowners and renters can benefit from community solar and other renewable-energy opportunities. Attendees also explored a range of simple, low- to no-cost energy-efficiency upgrades, along with step-by-step tips for improving comfort and cutting household energy waste.

To jump-start their energy-efficiency journey, every participant went home with a free energy-saving kit, equipped with easy-to-use tools to make immediate improvements in their living space.

These workshops highlight Sustainable Westchester’s ongoing commitment to supporting Westchester County communities with accessible clean-energy solutions and practical resources for a more sustainable future.
