Co-Host an Energy Education Workshop with Sustainable Westchester
This Fall and Winter, you can partner with Sustainable Westchester to offer an energy literacy workshop for your organization’s clients (or staff!) Session participants will receive a free energy kit valued at $80, and a live tutorial on how to use the items to improve comfort and lower your energy bills. Additionally, learn about important energy-saving programs like HEAP, EmPower+, GridRewards and Community Solar.
If you’re interested in co-hosting a session, Sustainable Westchester staff would attend on-site at your location and provide participants with a tutorial on how to use a Free Energy Kit. The kit includes materials to help stop leaks, reduce drafts, and lower energy usage. We’ll also walk through programs (like HEAP, EAP, EmPower+, and Community Solar) that can reduce costs further and provide funding for bigger home energy upgrades.
All workshop participants will receive a Free Energy Kit containing the following materials:
- Weatherstripping
- Door sweep
- Window insulation kit
- Foam outlet and switch gasket
- Foam tape for windows/doors
- Power strip
- 2 LED light bulbs
When? We are looking to schedule workshops from October 2025 – March 2026
Who? Homeowners and renters can participate in these sessions. We will need an estimated headcount ahead of time, so that we know how many kits we should bring.
Would you be interested in collaborating and hosting an Energy Education Workshop for your community members? Please let me know if I may schedule a call with you to start planning a workshop!
