The Energy Upgrades for Your Home Workshop
Want to make your home more comfortable, reduce energy waste, and lower your energy bills? Join Sustainable Westchester and the White Plains American Legion #135 Auxiliary on November 21st at 11 AM for a free workshop on practical ways to save energy at home.
Learn about simple DIY improvements you can make right away, as well as larger energy upgrades that can improve your home’s efficiency over time. We’ll cover weatherization, insulation, heat pumps, efficient appliances, and programs and incentives that can help make home energy improvements more affordable.
Attendees will receive a FREE D.I.Y. Energy Savings Kit ($60 value) and a tutorial on how to use the items in the kit. The session will also cover heat pumps, insulation, and incentives for home energy upgrades. Included in the Free Energy Savings Kit:
- 2 LED light bulbs
- Window insulation
- Weatherstripping
- Foam tape for windows/doors
- Door sweep
- Foam outlet & switch gaskets
- Power strip
