Enrique Aguas

Enrique Aguas joined Sustainable Westchester in January of 2024. He earned his undergraduate degree in environmental sciences from Lehman College. The program covered a wide range of topics such as Environmental impact assessments, resource management and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). For the past three summers, Enrique held the position of conservation intern at the Greenburgh Nature Center in Scarsdale, NY, which focused mainly on invasive species mitigation. As an intern, he led surveys of the property to access native plant populations, tended to the grounds, and shared his knowledge with the visitors of the nature center.

Enrique is passionate about spreading awareness of environmental issues to those in disadvantaged communities. When he is not working, he likes to go rock climbing and traveling across the state. His favorite climbing destination is Hanging Mountain in Sandisfield, MA.
