Noam Bramson

Prior to joining Sustainable Westchester as Executive Director in January 2024, Noam served for eighteen years as the Mayor of New Rochelle and for ten years as a member of the New Rochelle City Council.
Noam was among the founding Board Members of Sustainable Westchester, and has been at the forefront of local and regional efforts to promote forward-looking environmental action.
Noam is a life-long Westchester resident and a product of the New Rochelle public schools.  He went on to Harvard University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Public Policy.
Noam is married to Catherine (“Catie”) Stern, Ph.D., a clinical pediatric neuropsychologist, affiliated with Family Health Associates of White Plains and Manhattan.  They have two sons, Jeremy and Owen.
